Couples counseling
The vast majority of insurance companies no longer pay for couples counseling because it's not considered a 'medical necessity.' Billing it as family therapy or individual therapy with a partner add-on is considered insurance fraud. Various penalties can result. Regrettably, I cannot bill insurance for couples counseling.
